What is the WatchPAT One?

The WatchPAT ONE is a TGA-listed portable diagnostic home sleep study device that is worn on your wrist while completing one night’s sleep in the comfort of your own home.

It was designed for the accurate screening, detection and follow-up for sleep apnea testing.

What readings does it take?

The WatchPAT’s advanced software provides a clinically validated algorithm that measures all sleep stages: light, deep, and REM sleep.

The home sleep study provides information on sleep quality including sleep efficiency, sleep latency and REM latency.

It also provides added value of detecting REM related sleep apnea with REM and non-REM AHI (Apnea Hypopnea Index). Order your sleep apnea test today.

The Home Sleep Study device measures 6 channels:

PAT—Peripheral Arterial Tone, which is a physiological signal that mirrors changes in the autonomic nervous system caused by respiratory disturbances during sleep

Oximetry—the measurement of oxygen levels in the blood

Actigraphy—the measurement of body movement while sleeping

Heart Rate—the number of heart beats per minute while sleeping

Body Position—notes whether you sleep on your back (supine), front (prone) or side, all which influence apnoea

Snoring Intensity (dB)—loud snoring is a major indicator of sleep apnoea

The WatchPAT home sleep study is useful in the analysis of Sleep Breathing Disorders (SBD), specifically Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA). It is a small wrist mounted device which allows testing in the comfort of the patient’s own home.

WatchPAT’s sleep apnoea test has been clinically validated against the “Gold Standard”, polysomnography (PSG), with a documented correlation of up to 89% to PSG, with a less than 1% clinical failure rate.
